Changing the perception of storage… Can we do it?

When I hear the word “storage”, the first thing that comes to mind is: BORING…. Next! I much prefer to focus on the wow factor elements like the kitchen, ensuite and the most amazing outdoor area I have planned – who’s with me?

Reality is, every home needs a decent amount of storage. Let’s face it, as builders it’s one of those things we hear people grumble about all the time, “The cupboards are full to the brim, every inch of space accounted for – even in the guest room!” Most homes have 1, 2 or 3 linen/storage cupboards – space for all your towels, sheets, duvets, space for the vacuum, broom and the odd box that you still haven’t unpacked yet. But did you forget the 101 books that you just can’t bear to part with, or the family night collection of board games? And not to mention the mass amounts of toys that kids collect over the years, they can clutter a bedroom quickly leaving next to no room for anything else.

Our mission is to turn the meaning of storage around and make it fun, creative, and a feature in the home. Check out these gorgeous kids rooms for some inspiration.

With clever and highly skilled tradespeople like the team that work with Hallmark Homes, it’s easy to create interesting and “out of the box” storage solutions that will not only serve a purpose but also give character and personality to your home. We can add storage shelves or drawers in more places than you think – under stairs, bathrooms, built in seating and even that wasted space behind doors.

We want to help you re-create that wasted space and turn it into something amazing!

Here are some more useful ideas to make the most of every nook and cranny. Also check out our favourite relaxation spaces below. Most of these areas can easily be created by pushing a small area of the wall out (to the soffit line), involving a small cost but what an impact! Adding these small touches to key areas will really lift your home to the next level. It will make the space more homely and more tailored to you and your life.

We have many more of these great ideas, and have even incorporated some of them into our Lincoln showhome! So pop in, say hello and get inspired.

We are open Monday to Sunday 11 – 4pm.
