Renowed architectural designer behind our Prestige Series Plans
Phillip Bidwell is the acclaimed architectural designer behind our Prestige Series plans. Over a career spanning decades, Phil built a reputation for creating contemporary, cutting-edge homes that are both functional and visually striking. Inspired by architecture legends such as Sir Peter Beaven and Sir Miles Warren, his work reflects a deep understanding of design complexity and client needs.
Phil began his career studying the technical aspects of construction at Christchurch Polytechnic and gained invaluable experience working under architect Ross Maguire for eight years. In 1995, he launched Philip Bidwell Architecture, quickly earning national recognition, including a design judged in the National Supreme House of the Year at the Master Builders awards. While Phil has since moved on from Hallmark Homes, his exceptional designs continue to define the Prestige Series.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Phil on our Hallmark Homes design team. His expertise and passion helped shape the Prestige Series and many bespoke homes, ensuring every project was functional, beautiful, and tailored to our clients’ needs. Phil’s dedication made the design process an enjoyable and memorable experience for every family.

Introducing Ting Lin – Continuing the Legacy

We are thrilled to introduce Ting Lin, who worked alongside Phil for many years and carries forward his legacy of excellence. Ting is an accomplished designer with an outstanding academic record, including top honours from the New Zealand Institute of Architects. Early in her career, she gained recognition with the People’s Choice Award in 2016 and honed her skills on complex hill builds, high-end residential projects, and medium-scale commercial work, including commercial and healthcare fitouts.
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Architectural Engineering with a focus on sustainability and integrated building performance, Ting brings both technical expertise and a passion for creating meaningful connections with clients. At Hallmark Homes, she continues the tradition of thoughtful, high-quality, and client-focused design established under Phil’s mentorship.
