The Secrets to GIVE YOUR HOME the WOW FACTOR

  1. Put something symmetrical at your entrance. It frames the entrance way and gives it a larger look.

  2. Shape some buxus hedge and put in a pot on your table. Greenery lightens up a room.

  3. Create a feature wall with patterned designed wallpaper. This looks great in the master bedroom.

  4. If you have big glass doors, order some roof to floor curtains to turn them into a feature. It also makes the room look bigger.

  5. Dress to impress. If you don’t need it, don’t use it. Sometimes the wow factor is created just by moving furniture around or removing a mat from the lounge.

1. Include storage cupboards in your garage.

Everyone knows how much things can pile up in a garage – have a couple of storage cupboards won't add much to your budget but will save your sanity!

2. Consider having a door to your hallway

Many young families enjoy being able to shut the hall door when they’ve put the kids to bed. If you haven’t already – this is a must for your new home.

3. If you’re not having a separate laundry, consider a nook in your garage for your washing machine.

It’s just another way that you can shut away the mess at a smaller cost.

How to GIVE YOUR KITCHEN Functionality

A double entrance to your kitchen can be a good idea if you have a big family.

Lots of people moving around in a kitchen can get a bit hectic. If you have two open sides people can move in and out without getting in the ‘chef's’ way.

breakfastbar.JPGMake sure your fridge opens out.

Check the side your fridge opens and make sure that in your new home, it’s not going to block any cupboard or bench space. The fridge should open out toward the open space.

Where will your rubbish bin be?

Ensure there’s space for your rubbish, either build one in, or make sure there is space under your sink.

Build in a breakfast bar.

You can enjoy family meals and talk to people while washing up.

Consider all the options of drawers and cupboards.

It might cost a little bit more now but it will give you more storage space than an open cupboard.

How to make your bathroom a relaxing place.GIF

Bathroom.JPGColours reflect a mood.
When choosing your paint colours, consider the mood you’re wanting when you’re in the bathroom. Calm colours such as greens and creams will exude a relaxing environment where reds and pinks will invite an invigorating atmosphere.

Lighting is important.
Bright lighting above your mirror is a good idea but when you sit down for a bath you don’t want to sit back and see everything you have to clean. Opting for some dull lighting is a great way to create a calm atmosphere in a bathroom.

Stylish storage makes for good relaxation.
When everything has it’s own home you tend to enjoy your time a little more. If you build in some storage in your bathroom everything will be out of sight and therefore, out of mind for you enjoy your bath.
